It's A Girl!

Andy and I are so excited to be welcoming our first baby to our family. We had tried once but God had another plan. He took our baby home with him. After a deployment to Iraq, facing the hardship of separation and a miscarriage, we moved to Georgia. It was really to our surprise to find out we were pregnant again! This pregnancy has been pretty uneventful, which I'm not complaining. I had my share of morning sickness and being tired and now I'm facing the joys of heartburn and reflux. Don't they say that means she'll have a full head of hair? Ha!
We found out that we were going to be having a daughter. We couldn't be more excited. I can already tell you that she will have her daddy wrapped around her fingers. We have decided to name her Kyler Isla Paige Larsen. Ok so let us clarify her name. First off, we just love this name. We came up with it on our own, it's not after anyone! Second, Isla is pronounced "eye-lah" and not "is-lah".
We were so amazed to watch her move around in the sonogram. She would wiggle and stretch. She also made plenty of pouty faces. I already told Andy to start hardening his heart to that face. I have a feeling it will be an obstacle in a few years!
We are getting ready to head home to Kansas for baby showers. I feel like such a mommy already because I'm so excited not for me to have these showers, but for Kyler! I hope she gets everything she needs! It's amazing how quickly your priorities change once a baby is involved. It's true what they say, a baby changes everything!
Right now, I'm enjoying the little pitter patters of her feet! She always gets active right when I'm ready to lay down. But I love every moment of it! I'll try to update more after the shower!
